HarmonyOS launching on 2 June as per official announcement through a YouTube video. Huawei ban from the United States. changed a lot of things in Tech Industry especially for Huawei and its users. After Huawei got banned over security and privacy concerns, Google stopped Huawei from using Android and Google Services on their smartphones. However, there are some methods to bypass and install Google Mobile Services on Huawei.
Huawei was banned back in 2019, and at the same time they announced that they are building their own OS that will replace Android OS in their smartphones. They planned to release HarmonyOS in the smartphones by 2021. The time has come and Huawei is going to release their HarmonyOS.
HarmonyOS launching on 2 June
Huawei ban from United States and Google breaking the partnership forced them to create their own OS. This all chaos obliged Huawei to launch their own OS called HarmonyOS, which is launching on 2 June. However, the OS turned out to be a carbon copy of Android. A deep investigation by ARSTechnica revealed that HarmonyOS is just a carbon copy of Android and they even used AOSP elements in this OS.
A video on YouTube posted by Huawei hints that they are coming with HarmonyOS as a big announcement. It is not yet clear what they are going to disclose in this launch event. Here’s the video:
According to this video, it seems like Huawei is planning to showcase their HarmonyOS layout and how it will look on different devices. It will be showcased how HarmonyOS will look like on Smartphones, Tablets, TVs and other devices.
